Event Pre-Qualifier - Current Associate Member of the Champions Tour or Class A Member of PGA: $150

Event Pre-Qualifier - Professional or Amateur: $200

An additional $20 insurance fee is required from non-members of the PGA of America: $20

The following are eligible for the Event Qualifier and are not required to compete in a Event Pre-Qualifier:

1. PGA TOUR Champions /PGA TOUR/ Web.com Tour Veteran Member

2. Winners of PGA TOUR, PGA TOUR Champions or Web.com Tournaments

3. Winners on the European Tour or European Sr. Tour Exempt from Pre-Qualifier

4. Players finishing in 37th - 75th position on 2017 PGA TOUR Champions Official Points List

5. Players who have earned $1,000,000 or more on PGA TOUR Champions

6. Players who Pre-Q and EQ for an Event in the same week will be exempt for the rest of the year

7. Finished within top 30 & ties from 2017 PGA TOUR Champions National Qualifying Tournament

AMATEUR ACCESS: The Event Qualifier is open to professionals only, age 50 and over. Amateurs are permitted to enter and compete in the Pre-Qualifier and maintain his/her amateur status. However, should an amateur competing in the Pre-Qualifier successfully qualify for the Event Qualifier, amateur status will be forfeited prior to entering the Event Qualifier. Amateurs who become professional specifically to enter the Event Qualifier and are not successful in qualifying may apply to the USGA for reinstatement of amateur status.

PROOF OF AGE: Players who enter either the Pre-Qualifier or Event Qualifier must be prepared to provide conclusive proof of age as deemed acceptable to the PGA TOUR Champions (e.g., certified copy of birth certificate) with the application.

Format: 18-Hole Stroke Play Competition.

Qualifying Spots Available:

The low five (5) will qualify for the 2018 Principal Charity Classic Event Qualifier to be held at Tournament Club of Iowa in Polk City, Iowa, on Monday, June 4th, 2018. Tie(s) for qualifying spot(s) will be determined by a sudden death playoff immediately following the round. There will be no alternates from the Pre-Qualifier.

Start Time: Tee Times will begin at 7:30 A.M.

Check-In: Please check-in inside Pro Shop when arriving at Tournament Club of Iowa on Thursday morning. Each contestant will be provided with his own golf car.

Driving Range: The Driving Range will open at 6:30 A.M.

Practice Rounds: Please call Tournament Club of Iowa to reserve tee times at 515-984-9440.

PERSONAL MEASURING DEVICES: Personal Measuring Devices ARE allowed however they may not gauge or measure other conditions that might affect his play (e.g. elevation changes, wind speed, etc.).

Play will be conducted from the King Tees.

Appearance / Conduct: Players: While on the host facility property, players shall present a neat appearance in both clothing and grooming. Clothing worn by players shall be consistent with acceptable golf fashion. Blue jeans, shorts and/or cutoffs and T-shirts are considered inappropriate. Players are required to wear pants (no shorts).

Caddies: While on the host facility property, caddies may wear either long pants or tailored solid colored knee length
shorts. Blue jeans, cutoffs and T-shirts are not allowed. Smooth rubber sole shoes are required. Golf shoes with
traditional metal or soft spikes are prohibited.

A player or caddie conducting himself in a manner unbecoming a professional could result in the removal from the competition. The conduct of his caddie is the responsibility of each player.

Note: Conforming grooves are not required for the Pre-Qualifier, however they are required for the Open Qualifier.
