GROOVES AND/OR PUNCH MARKS:
Contestants MUST use equipment which conforms to the Condition of Competition for Groove Specifications for Section Professional Championships.
FORMAT:
54-Hole Stroke Play.
Top 5 finishers will advance to the 48th (2015) PGA Professional National Championship, presented by Club Car, Mercedes-Benz and Omega, at the Philadelphia Cricket Club in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, scheduled for June 28-July 1, 2015 (Sunday-Wednesday).
Aaron Krueger, Head PGA Professional at Wakonda Club, has earned an exemption for the National Championship because of his 12th place finish in this year's event. Aaron's spot does not count against our five other spots so the Iowa PGA Section will have six total players in the 2015 National Championship.
There will be no playoffs to determine champion in the Senior Division and Super Senior Division. All prize money and points will be split in case of a tie for first place in these divisions.
Hole & Tee Locations:
Hole & Tee locations will change after each round.
EXTRA CHARGES:
$100 includes cart and range both days, lunch and dinner on Monday. Extra charges must be paid immediately when arriving at the golf course on Monday prior to the first shotgun start.
SKINS GAMES:
An optional Skins and Senior Skins Game will be administered. Cost for each event is $30 with $10 allocated toward each round.
BONUS FLIGHT:
Following round one of the event, bottom half and ties will be eligible to pay an additional $20 for Bonus Flight. A Bonus Flight payout will be formed for rounds 2 and 3 total score for those who are participating. Round one scores will not be included in Bonus Flight competition. Entry forms for bonus flight will be posted on steering wheels of golf cars following first round. Players who wish to compete in Bonus Flight must submit entry form to Troy Christensen prior to teeing off in second round of event.
CADDIES:
Players have the option to use a caddie for this competition and may also walk or use a motorized golf cart. Walking competitors are still subject to all extra charges at the facility for the competition. Maximum 2 carts per group.
FOOD & BEVERAGE SERVICE:
Sunday: Food available for purchase off menu in Lower Grille from lunch through dinner (not included in extra charges).
Monday: No breakfast service available. A stationary beverage cart by the golf shop and on-course food stand will offer food/beverage options before and during play for purchase. Buffet lunch is provided as part of extra charges between rounds on Monday. Full buffet dinner is provided as part of extra charges following play on Monday.
Tuesday: No breakfast service available. A stationary beverage cart by the golf shop and on-course food stand will offer food/beverage options before and during play for purchase. Lunch will be available for purchase off menu in Oakview Bar of Clubhouse following play (not included in extra charges).
Note: Because of the interference/noise, there will be no beverage carts roaming the course during the event. A stationary beverage cart will be available before and after play near the golf shop and the snack stand on the course will be open throughout the entire day for food/beverage purchases.
SHORTS:
Professionals may wear shorts.
