FORMAT:
54-hole stroke play. The Open Division field will be cut to the low 70 and ties following 36 holes for the final round. A full field will consist of 144 contestants. Senior Division cut will be based on the amount of Senior Division entries and will be determined/published following tournament entry deadline.
Amateur Eligibility:
1. Iowa resident Amateur.
2. Non-Iowa resident Amateur attending college full time in the state of Iowa.
3. USGA Handicap Index of 6.0 or less (HANDICAP WILL BE VERIFIED).
Professional Eligibility:
1. Iowa Section PGA Member or Apprentice in good standing.
2. Iowa resident non-PGA affiliated Professional.
Senior Eligibility:
1. Meet Amateur or Professional eligibility
2. Reached their 50th birthday by the August 20th, 2010.
PAIRINGS, TEE TIMES:
First two rounds of the championship, play will be conducted off #1 and #10 tees from 8:00 a.m. to 9:48 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. to 1:48 p.m. Final round, play will be conducted off #1 only starting at 8:00 a.m. with high scores teeing off first. Pairings and tee times for the first two rounds will be posted on the Iowa PGA website by Monday, August 16th, 2010 by 12:00 p.m.
CHECK-IN:
Players must check-in at the check-in table immediately when arriving at Lake Panorama National Golf Course on Friday. Players are not required to check-in on Saturday or Sunday but must be present on the tee and ready to play at scheduled tee time.
APPEARANCE:
Professionals: While on the host facility property during the tournament, professionals shall present a neat appearance in both clothing and personal grooming. Blue jeans, shorts, cutoffs, T-shirts or shirts with no collar shall not be worn. Professional must wear long pants.
Amateurs: While on the host facility property during the tournament, amateurs may wear either long pants or tailored solid colored knee length shorts. Blue jeans, cutoffs, T-shirts or shirts with no collar shall not be worn.
Caddies: While on the host facility property, caddies may wear either long pants or tailored solid colored knee length shorts. Blue jeans, cutoffs, T-shirts or shirts with no collar shall not be worn.
CARTS:
Carts may be used at the competition. NO private carts allowed.
PERSONAL MEASURING DEVICES:
Distance-Measuring Devices: A player may obtain distance information by using a device that measures distance only. However, if during a stipulated round, a player uses a distance-measuring device that is designed to gauge or measure other conditions that might affect his play (e.g., gradient, wind-speed, temperature, etc.), the player is in breach of Rule 14-3, for which the penalty is disqualification, regardless of whether any such additional functions are actually used." TOURNAMENT PRIZE PAYOUT:
A true open prize payout will be utilized (no separate amateur payout) with amateurs winning a max of $750 credit at Lake Panorama National Golf Course.
